Our volunteers receive all the training that they need, and access to our Volunteer Manager for support with their role.
Dorset Advocacy’s IMCA service is extremely impressive and the knowledge of Independent Mental Capacity Advocates about their role and the rights of people they support is exceptional. The reports that the IMCA’s produce are extremely well written – professional, respectful and robust – focusing on the person, their needs and preferences, the things that are important to them as well as referencing case law as appropriate. IMCA’s were excited about their role and had a good understanding of the different functions an IMCA has.
